Knife Confiscated From Murder Suspect In Tulsa County Jail

A Sand Springs man charged with first-degree murder is facing an additional charge after an official found a homemade knife in his jail cell.

A Sand Springs man charged with first-degree murder is facing an additional charge after an official found a homemade knife in his jail cell. 

Ronnie Haskins, 40, is accused of stabbing a Tulsa man during an argument on August 30. He is being held in the Tulsa County jail without bond.

Records show a jail detention officer found the weapon in Haskins' possession.

Haskins is awaiting a preliminary hearing on October 18 on the murder charge. Records show a court appearance on the new charge of possession of contraband by an inmate is set for October 22.
