Posted: Updated:
WAGONER COUNTY, Oklahoma -

A 40-year-old Okmulgee man was killed just after midnight Friday morning, after losing control and rolling his pickup truck on Highway 16.

Troopers say Jimmie Lee Smithson was going south on the highway in Wagoner County when he lost control of his Dodge Ram. The truck went off the road to the right and overturned twice. Smithson, who troopers say was not wearing his seatbelt, was ejected from the truck.

Troopers say he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
