Free 'Shredfest' Event To Destroy Personal Documents

News On 6, the Better Business Bureau and Shredder's Inc. are among the companies teaming up for a Shredfest event later this month.

Shredfest is a free event where people can take their personal documents and information to Shredders Inc. to be destroyed and recycled.

The event is set for Saturday, October 19, 2013. It will run from 1 until 3 p.m.

Shredders Inc. is located at 635 West 41st Street in Tulsa.

At the event, each vehicle can bring up to two 30 gallon trash bags of papers to be shredded for free, and additional shredding is available at a rate of 14 cents per pound.

Organizers say McGruff the crime fighting dog. Shredders and the BBB will also be giving away several Shredders and Thumb Drives.
