Tulsa Police: Intoxicated Man Crossing South Peoria Hit By Car

Tulsa Police say a man stepped off the curb and into the path of a northbound car on South Peoria and was hit early Thursday.

The Tulsa Fire Department, EMSA and police were called to the 4600 block of South Peoria at about 6:30 a.m.

Police said the driver was unable to avoid hitting the man, who officers believe was intoxicated. The man was taken to the hospital by EMSA.  Officers say he is expected to be okay.

Tulsa Police say the driver and a child in the car were shaken up but not injured.
