Tulsa Police say a man was driving drunk when he wrecked his pickup then ran from officers. The driver was located by the Tulsa Police Department but not before he nearly severed his finger climbing over razor wire.
The rollover wreck took place just before 1 a.m. on Pine Street between Mingo and Garnett. Police say the driver was eastbound on Pine in a white Ford Ranger when he hit the guardrail and rolled.
The man ran into a nearby industrial area, according to police. Tulsa Police - including the TPD helicopter - searched the area and located the man.
He was argumentative to the point that EMSA personnel had difficulty treating him for the injury to his finger, according to a News On 6 photographer.
The man was familiar to police officers who described him as a "frequent flyer."
