TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsa Police are investigating a rash of shootings from over the weekend that left three people dead.

An unrelated series of shootings started early Saturday.

Police say two groups of people shot at each other across a street, but they don't know how many people fired shots or whether the people hit were shot by the same person.

Two men were killed: Marrico McGuire and David Muse. A third man was injured but is expected to survive.

"We're looking at an incident in the club that could have started a fight that spilled out into the parking lot, where people brought guns to the party and exchanged shots and some people got hit," said Sgt. Dave Walker.

The suspect is still unknown and witnesses have been less than cooperative with police.

Sunday night, a man was shot and killed at a motel, and the suspect in that case remains at large. It's a case where people heard the shot and found the victim, but didn't see much else.

"He was shot somewhere in there and we think the shooter was on foot, or an acquaintance of the victim," Walker said.

Another shooting Saturday night left five people hit, but not killed, and two suspects were quickly arrested.

The one case police consider wrapped up was a shooting at a Hmong New Year's celebration. Police believe a dispute between family members was the motive.

A man, who wanted to remain anonymous, said he heard the shots and saw one of the shooters.

"He came out the door, he was running, he put a hoodie over his head, with the gun down, he was running out the door, running down the hallway," he said.

Police are hopeful they're close to identifying suspects in the two other cases, to wrap up a busy weekend for homicide detectives.

And for detectives, the work really started Thursday with a shooting involving an officer.

They investigate those incidents, as well.

Walker said they're making progress, especially in the double homicide from the club, and hopeful they'll have some arrests soon.
