Oklahoma County prosecutors have charged a 55-year-old father with child endangerment after a deputy arrested him for driving drunk while his 12-year-old daughter was in the car.
The deputy stopped Alfred Dunnum around 11:40 p.m. September 28 after he saw him driving in the middle of the road on Pennsylvania near S.W. 10th Street. The deputy discovered Dunnum was driving with a suspended license. His daughter was also sitting in the backseat.
Dunnum appeared intoxicated, but he denied he'd been drinking. When the deputy questioned him again, Dunnum admitted he'd consumed vodka, and also taken four or five of the prescription painkillers Lortab. Dunnum failed the field sobriety tests, so the deputy arrested him.
On October 15, Dunnum was charged with child endangerment, driving while under the influence, driving while privilege suspended, and improper lane use.
