Tulsa Mother Bound Over For Trial In Daughter's Drowning

A Tulsa mother will go to trial to face second degree manslaughter charges after 1-year-old daughter drowned in the bathtub.

Prosecutors say 21-year-old Makayla Rhotenberry put her 1 and 2-year-old girls in the bath together and went to the kitchen to start dinner. The affidavits show the mother checked on the girls once, and they were fine, but when we went back in about 10 minutes later, her youngest was face down in the water.

Rhotenberry's next court date is scheduled for October 21.
