More businesses are snuffing out those electronic cigarettes that are growing in popularity in Oklahoma.

The Warren Theatre in Moore banned e-cigarettes earlier this year because the mist can be distracting to other customers, said Dan Gray, Vice President of Operations to the Journal Record.

The Food and Drug Administration is working on rules that would classify e-cigarettes as tobacco products.

The Oklahoma Restaurant Association hasn't taken a stance on e-cigarettes yet, said Shannon Moad, spokeswoman with the trade group. In an email message to The Journal Record, Moad wrote she wouldn't be surprised to see state legislation on the issue introduced this year.
