A new surgery center offers convenience for cancer patients. The University of Oklahoma School of Medicine dedicated its new surgical procedure center in midtown Tulsa Monday.

It's now part of the OU Schusterman Clinic at 41st Street and Yale Avenue.

Patients can get cancer screenings, chemotherapy, and outpatient surgeries all in one place. And each surgeon is board-certified.

"These physicians have had additional training, and secondly they've gone through a pretty comprehensive testing system to confirm that they are qualified and experts in their area of study," said Dr. John Blebea with OU Physicians.

It officially opens on November 4, 2013, but there is an open house this Thursday at 6 p.m.
