Governor Fallin Kicks Off 'Feeding Oklahoma' Food Drive

Governor Mary Fallin kicked off the "Feeding Oklahoma" Food Drive Tuesday morning at the Regional Food Bank in Oklahoma City.

Governor Mary Fallin kicked off the "Feeding Oklahoma" Food Drive Tuesday morning at the Regional Food Bank in Oklahoma City.

The drive also includes the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.

The goal is to raise enough donations for 1.4 million meals. They've already collected more than $150,000 and 18,000 pounds of food.

Non-perishable food items can be donated at BancFirst locations, select AT&T locations, the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma and the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and their partner agencies.

The most-needed items include canned meat, canned vegetables, canned fruits, canned tuna, peanut butter and rice and beans.

The food drive ends October 31st.
