Two metro police agencies said Tuesday they are trying to track down serial burglars before they strike again.

The crooks have already targeted at least six homes in the same area of northwest Oklahoma City as well as the Bethany areas. One victim accidentally confronted the suspects in her kitchen.

"I'm just thankful that he didn't have a weapon," the victim said.

She wants to remain anonymous because of her encounter, but said the burglars did not steal anything from her other than her peace of mind.

"It took a little while to sink in that somebody entered our home and this isn't as safe a neighborhood as we thought," the woman said.

Someone knocked on her door around 8 p.m. one night in early October. She did not recognize the white vehicle outside, so she did not answer the door.

Then her dog started barking like crazy and she looked in the kitchen to check things out.

"I saw a young black kid standing in our kitchen and my dog barking at him and so I'm like, 'What are you doing? What the hell are you doing?' Then he took off," she said.

Oklahoma City Police said they believe the same two suspects have broken into at least six homes on the northwest side and Bethany Police have several cases believed to be carried out by the same duo.

The burglaries date back to August and the suspects have stolen mostly big screen televisions, electronics and jewelry.

Oklahoma City Police got a break in a recent burglary when an alert neighbor snapped a cell phone picture of one of the suspects as he drove away.

Police believe the suspects drive a white Crown Victoria.

"Witnesses reported seeing two black males involved, obviously we only have this one suspect photo, but we are confident if we get this man identified, that could possibly lead us to an additional suspect," said Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow with Oklahoma City Police.

If you can help with the investigation, call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300.
