CHICKASHA, Oklahoma -

A week after the Chickasha High School FFA barn and several animals inside were vandalized with spray paint, police are still on the hunt for the person responsible.

With a $5,000 reward being offered by the Humane Society, Chickasha investigators hope some tips start to come in with credible information.

Everyone News 9 stopped in town knew about the vandalism and most everyone was upset by it. Especially because the FFA members have worked so hard to get their animals show-ready.

"The effort to get them all ready and get them all shaped up and the expense of the animal themselves, is quite and expense and taking care of them all the time to keep them ready to make the show. Then somebody to go out there and do something like that, I don't understand it," said Clyde White, a former FFA member.

"They really need to go work on a farm that has animals and help take care of the animals. Then they would learn what that is and how much sacrifice these kids do daily," added Linda Bledsoe.

The barn itself was also painted with offensive messages and random symbols. While Police won't rule out anyone as a suspect, the assistant chief says it looks like the person who did it was probably a kid.

Chickasha Police are asking anyone with information to call them about this crime. The person responsible could face charges and could even be sued by whoever owns the animals.
