TULSA, Oklahoma -

More rain is on the way to northeastern Oklahoma Tuesday and Wednesday, but should be gone by Thursday evening.

News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says a cold front is moving in from the northwest and will bring increasing chances of thunderstorms, some severe, Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Crone says locally heavy rain is also possible.

Strong southerly winds will be blowing Tuesday and Wednesday in advance of the front entering northeast Oklahoma.

The good news, according to Crone, is the rain will be out of the state by Halloween evening.

He says Thursday evening will feature gusty northwest winds, clearing sky and temperatures dropping from the lower 60s into the upper 50s.
