Muskogee County Deputies Look For Killer In Haskell Shooting Death

Investigators say they don't have a motive a young man's murder, but family members believe it was a case of mistaken identity.

Muskogee County Sheriff Deputies are searching for a killer Saturday evening, after a man is shot multiple times outside a friend's home.

Investigators say it happened around 12:30 Saturday morning on Osage Avenue in Haskell.

Family members tell us the victim is 24-year-old Codye Burris Johnson.

Investigators say they don't have a motive for Johnson's killing, but family members believe it was a case of mistaken identity.

A white truck and a car were seen speeding away from the scene just moments after the shooting.
