OKLAHOMA CITY -

Neighbors in one southwest Oklahoma City neighborhood are shocked after police discover several guns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition inside one of the homes.

Not only that, but the man police arrested is a known gang member, and was charged with murder when he was a teenager.

The details are all inside a search warrant filed on Tuesday. More than a thousand rounds of ammo, a silencer, a scope, and seven guns all found inside that southwest City home that at first, the homeowners refused to have searched.

Police arrested 22-year-old Joshua Vera and he is currently out on a $4,000 bond.

Police tracked Vera down to a home in the 2300 block of S.W. 26th, after spotting him with a gun after shots were fired in a nearby neighborhood.

We obtained a list of weapons and ammo police found inside the home after obtaining a search warrant. Neighbors are not only shocked, they're scared.

"That's scary, it really is," said one neighbor who does not want to be identified for fear of retaliation.

She said she has lived in this neighborhood close to 60 years, and had no idea a known gang member was living so close to her home.

Back in 2006, when he was only 15, Vera was implicated in the deadly shooting of a southwest Oklahoma City man at a home on S.W. 22nd Street. The murder charge was later dismissed.

But the recent search warrant states Vera has "prior juvenile convictions for several crimes, including Burglary," and that the OCPD Gang Unit has identified him as a "South Side Loco Gang member."

That's disturbing news for these neighbors.

"Well I'm going to watch more carefully, keep my doors locked, that's for sure," one neighbor said.

We checked and it is not unusual to have a convicted felon released on bond pending a court hearing and further review of the case.

But neighbors in that area are not happy he is out of jail.
