Thieves broke into a Norman home and stole the one thing money can't buy.

"I feel like I'm kind of letting him down," Diane Magers never imagined she would not be able to fulfill her late husband's dying wish.

Diane Magers was happily married for 45 years to her late husband, Ip. He lost his battle with cancer five years ago. So, Diane promised - like him - she too would be cremated after death and together their ashes would be spread around the home they once shared.

"He said I would really like us to be together," Magers said.

It's why the break-in at her home on Franklin near Porter in Norman was so devastating. On Oct. 31, she found someone pried open the backdoor. The thief stole her jewelry and her late husband's urn.

"It was like a piece of me is gone," Magers said.

It has left her feeling violated.

The urn resembles an antique clock. Magers said it is possible the thief had no idea what they were taking. She is asking for the thief to return it –- no questions asked.

If you have information about this case, call Norman Police at (405) 366-STOP.
