OSAGE COUNTY, Oklahoma -

Two men were injured when their Dodge Ram truck left the roadway and rolled in Osage County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The single-vehicle crash took place just after 5 a.m. Saturday on Osage Drive near 36th Street North.

Trooper Matthew Middleton said the men were going northbound at a high rate of speed when the truck left the roadway and hit a curb, rolling twice. Tulsa firefighters freed the driver, Antonio Perez-Vega, using the jaws of life.

Passenger Noel Gutierez-Carreon was thrown from the truck. The 27-year-old Tulsa man was taken to the hospital in critical condition with head injuries.

"Sounds like it's a pretty serious collision here; not looking very good right now," Middleton said when asked about the passenger's injuries.

Investigators found a beer can in the truck and several scattered at the scene, according to News On 6 photographer Gary Kruse.

Perez-Vega, 24, is said to be stable with head injuries. He was wearing a seat belt while his passenger was not.

The OHP collision report states the cause of the collision is unsafe speed. The driver's condition at the time of the wreck is listed as unknown.
