My 2 Cents: Obamacare Unraveling

There's an expression that's been tossed around over the last few days about the Affordable Care Act, that it's like an old sweater. If you start pulling a thread on Obamacare the whole thing could fall apart.

Well today, President Obama tugged on a thread just a little bit, but some in his own party could yank the thing all the way out before long, because that old sweater could strangle their re-election hopes.

It all goes back to his promise that if you like your insurance you can keep it. That wasn't true.

So today the President said he fumbled the Healthcare rollout and tried to undo all those insurance cancellation notices millions of angry Americans have been getting, saying if they want, the insurance companies can let Americans stay on those already eliminated plans for one more year. Then Obamacare would kick in and they'd be canceled anyway.

Insurance experts are furious, saying the President made the whole mess worse today. The state insurance commissioner in Washington has already rejected the President's fix saying it's going to drive up premiums even more.

And the Democrats in Congress facing an election in one year are frantically trying to go around the President to fix the problem themselves, but their proposal could cut the legs out from under the whole Obamacare system. It's a mess...
