TULSA, Oklahoma -

Police Monday night arrested a man they said was Tulsa's most wanted. Police said Christopher Turnham was stealing gas from a Kum & Go when a pedestrian tried to intervene.

Turnham was arrested Monday night in Skiatook and was booked into Tulsa County jail around 9 p.m., according to jail records.

An affidavit of probable cause dated October 3, 2013, says a man who had been a passenger in Turnham's truck before the collision stayed at the Kum & Go and made a report.

The investigating officer called Turnham after he was identified as the person who left without paying for fuel.

"The suspect told Officer Heatherly that 'this guy put himself in the middle of it,'" the affidavit reads. "The suspect also stated that 'he turned hard to throw him off the vehicle.'"

It happened February 6, 2013, at the Kum & Go at 2502 North Harvard. The pedestrian injured his elbow and knee and was taken to the hospital.

Police said Turnham did not stop, but drove off with the gas.

Turnham was driving with a suspended license at the time, according to police.

He is being held in the Tulsa County jail on $15,000 bond, charged with leaving the scene of injury accident and violating the Pump Pirate Act.
