Police: Two Arrested For East Tulsa Armed Robbery

Detectives arrested Russell Thorngren, 52, and Elizabeth Hughes, 32, following what they called a "home invasion style robbery" on November 16 in the 8200 block of East 35th Street.

Tulsa Police said a couple was booked into jail on complaints of robbery with a dangerous weapon and first degree burglary stemming from an incident at an east Tulsa home.

Detectives arrested Russell Thorngren, 52, and Elizabeth Hughes, 32, following what they called a home invasion style robbery on November 16, in the 8200 block of East 35th Street.

Police said Thorngren admitted to going into the home through an open garage and tied up and robbed the resident at gunpoint. Tuesday, police released a surveillance photo of a woman they said had used one of the victim's stolen credit cards, just after the robbery. They say that woman was Hughes.

Thorngren is being held in lieu of a $182,000 bond at the Tulsa County jail. Hughes' bond is set at  $91,500.

Jail records show both have a court appearance set for November 27.
