A light freezing rain/freezing drizzle event is expected for a large part of the state. This will extend from Thursday night through Saturday morning. Hopefully, the bark will be much worse than the bite, but I doubt we will get out of this without some issues.

Ice amounts could get up to between .1 to .3". With VERY gusty north winds, this will cause ice-laden power lines and tree limbs to sway and come down. Power disruptions are a concern.

Anything above ground will become ice coated; so bridges, overpasses, curbs, stairwells, tree limbs and car windows should become layered with a thin coating of ice.

I still do not expect an ice storm, but a definite inconvenience with some disruptions.

The next winter system will move in on Sunday.
