After a string of recent accidents, EMSA is urging caution for those who are installing Christmas decorations and lights on their roofs and around their house.

Liam O'Brien shattered his right hip three weeks ago, when he slipped and fell off an attic latter.

EMSA says two other men were also hospitalized last week after falling of their roofs.

EMSA wants people with plans to install Christmas decorations to first inspect whatever ladder they use, make sure there is a second person to help, and just in general, slow down.

Liam O'Briens says his accident happened so fast.

"The pain was so intense as soon as I put pressure on it, it was so painful, I blacked out," he said.
