According to police, a white man entered the bank inside the Gateway Market near Pine and North Peoria around 4:30 p.m. and presented a note demanding money to bank employees. Police say the man implied he had a gun.

The employees complied and the robber walked away with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police say no one was hurt.

Police say the robber is in his mid-20s to early-30s, 5-foot-6 or 5-foot-7 and weighs 160 to 170 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a dark hooded shirt or jacket, a light colored cap with an orange brim and an orange emblem on the front and baggy jeans. The robber also had light facial hair and a bandage on his right cheek, possibly covering a wound, a scar or a tattoo.
