Father Of 3 Kids Found Murdered In Kansas Home Speaks Out

A father was left wondering why, after his three children and their mother were murdered.

Police arrested David Bennett, Jr. Tuesday night, after more than 100 officers spent the day searching for him across the state line in Independence, Kansas.

Police say he killed Cami Umbarger and the children at their home about an hour away in Parsons.

Friends got worried when the 29-year-old nurse didn't show up for work. When police went to check, they discovered the family dead. The children were just 9, 6, and 4 years old.

"They're what I live and breathe for. I don't know how anybody could do this," said Donald Betts, the father of the murdered children.

Officers aren't saying why the family was killed, but friends say Bennett had been stalking them.
