Locally-owned Promise Hotels and The Ross Group have announced another downtown hotel at a Tulsa Development Authority meeting today. The group plans to add a $15 million Hampton Inn and Suites in the One Place Development, which is located directly across the street from the BOK Center.

This hotel comes after two other major downtown hotel announcements for Promise Hotels – Hilton Garden Inn near the BOK Center and Holiday Inn Express near ONEOK Field. The Hampton Inn and Suites is expected to be completed by 2016.

Promise Hotels President and CEO Paresh "Pete" Patel expressed his enthusiasm for downtown Tulsa. "With the resurgence of downtown Tulsa, we are bullish about the growth in the Central Business District," he said. "Our hotels will add to the demand for more hotel rooms downtown and attract both the business and leisure traveler who are attending events at the BOK Center and Cox Business Center."

Situated on the corner of Third Street and South Cheyenne Avenue, the 8-story hotel will have an urban design with rooftop access.

"After several independent feasibility studies, the results consistently show a Hampton Inn and Suites in this location will work every day of the week," One Place developer Bob Eggleston said.

The hotel will be the third phase of the $120-million One Place development. The first phase is the 17-story tower with primary tenant, Cimarex Energy, and the second phase is the five-story mixed-use office and retail building with tenants Northwestern Mutual, Check-6, and Naples Flatbread & Bar.
