Another chance of snow is in the forecast as freezing temperatures continue to cause traffic problems in Green Country.

News On 6 WARN Team Meteorologist Dick Faurot says another inch or two of snow is possible for late Monday mainly in the more northern counties from along the Highway 412 corridor into southern Kansas.

"This current stretch of below freezing temperatures is expected to last for several more days," Faurot said in his weather blog.

"Although we will have a brisk south wind today, the cloud cover and snow pack should keep temperatures from making it above the freezing mark this afternoon. Another shot of cold air will arrive tonight with a brisk northerly wind all day Monday."

Tuesday is not looking quite as cold as it did earlier this week, but with the snow pack, "temperatures will struggle to make it above the freezing mark," Faurot said.

The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety urges anyone who has to be out on the roads to proceed with caution. Although major roadways are mostly clear, there are some slick spots - especially on elevated surfaces like bridges. Secondary and county roads still have significant ice and are snow packed.

In the News On 6 viewing area, Okmulgee County has roadways that should be considered slick and hazardous, according to ODOT's road condition map.
