The FBI wants a bank robber they consider armed and dangerous behind bars. He's already hit the Bank of Oklahoma four times in the past six months, with one branch, near May Ave. and Hefner Ave., being hit a total of three times.

Each time the bank robber has hit that Bank of Oklahoma branch, he has actually escaped by scaling a six-foot tall wooden fence. That's why the FBI is calling him the "Back Fence Bandit."

Each time he has scaled the wooden fence, he has ended up in a gated condominium complex and disappeared.

"We don't know at this time whether there is a vehicle he gets into in that complex or if he moves past that complex," said Rick Rains with the FBI. "We really don't know that."

These are surveillance pictures from those robberies. The FBI says each time he has hit the Bank of Oklahoma Branch, he's been wearing a different disguise.

The first time, he came in wearing a surgical cap and gauze all over his face. The second time, it was a straw hat and fake beard.

The third time, he hit a different Bank of Oklahoma Branch near N.W. 26th and Meridian Ave. and was dressed like a construction worker, but was wearing a skull mask and skeleton gloves.

Then just last month, he wore an old man mask, and flashed a gun.

"We're hoping someone will recognize something that will be helpful to us in identifying who he is," Rains said.

The Bank of Oklahoma has added a security guard to its May and Hefner location.

Both the Bank of Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Bankers Association are offering a combined $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the Back Fence Bandit.

The suspect is said to be a black male, standing between 5' 10" to 6' 2" and between 250 to 300 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI at this 24 hour number. It is (405)-290-7770. Callers can remain anonymous.
