Oklahoma County deputies arrest two burglary suspects after footprints in the snow led investigators to their alleged crimes.

On Friday, December 6, deputies responded to a call involving suspicious people ringing a door bell in the 7000 block of N. Harrah Road. When deputies arrived they found 23-year-old Coleton Zanola walking in the middle of the road during the snow storm. According to the sheriff's departments, Zanola told deputies his friend, 23-year-old Rocky Roark was nearby trying to get into a garage to get out of the snow.

When deputies found Roark, he took off running. After a brief foot chase, deputies took Roark into custody. Then a deputy noticed Roark footprints in the snow. The deputy followed the foot prints to a garage where a pickup truck had been burglarized. Deputies also found granola bars inside the truck.

The deputy then followed the footprints to another address in the 8000-block of Harrah Road to a house, where the door was unlocked. The homeowners confirmed to deputies their home had been burglarized and food was stolen from them, specifically granola bars.

Nearby the deputy saw a bicycle in the snow, and followed more footprints which led the deputy to another address. The homeowner here told the deputy the bicycle was stolen.

Both Zanola and Roark were booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on complaints of 2nd degree burglary.
