The reopening for the Moore Post Office is the latest minor milestone in Moore.

The facility near Moore Medical was badly damaged on May 20.

"I got stamps," says Kathy Easter, who was excited to be one of the first to visit. "We are still living in Norman, rebuilding and I think this is one more step in getting back to normal."

"My husband said just go through the drive-thru and I said no I want to see what it looks like," says Belvia Moore who visited the new Post Office Wednesday.

The new post office does not include mail carrier operations, but window and P.O. Box services are operating.

If your home is badly damaged and you are getting your mail at the temporary facility at 1600 South Broadway, you can still do so.
