Norman Public Schools To Make Up Snow Days

Posted: Updated:
NORMAN, Oklahoma -

Norman Public Schools students will have to spend some 2014 federal holidays in class to make up for the three days they recently missed due to snow and ice.

The district has four snow days built into the calendar. Two of those make-up days are Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 20) and President's Day (February 17). Students will be in class on those days.

The district has also added extra minutes to each school day. NPS says those minutes have already accrued enough to make up for the third snow day.

Winter Break begins for the district Monday, December 23, and runs through Wednesday, January 1.
