Bourbon Glazed Meatballs

INGREDIENTS:

Bourbon Glaze:

1 Cup Packed Brown Sugar

¼ cup Water

1 stick Butter

¼ cup Bourbon

Meatballs:

1 lb Ground Turkey, beef, chicken, pork or veal

½ Small Onion, small dice

2 tsp Minced Garlic

1 Tbsp Garlic

1 Tbsp Onion Powder

1 tsp Ground Black Pepper

1 tsp Salt

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Bourbon Glaze:

Combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan and heat until sugar dissolves.

Add butter then simmer until thick and syrupy.

Remove from heat and whisk in bourbon, then cool.

Meatballs:

Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl. Using a 1oz ice cream scoop, form 1oz meatballs. 

Lightly oil a cast iron skillet and brown meatballs, but do not fully cook.

Place meatballs in a casserole dish and pour bourbon glaze on top. Cover dish with foil and bake 10-15 minutes.

Place bourbon glazed meatballs on a serving platter and serve.

(makes about 20 meatballs)
