NOWATA, Oklahoma -

Fire destroyed a business in downtown Nowata Thursday morning.

The Nowata County Sheriff's Office says the fire destroyed the Ranch Supply store on East Cherokee and two adjacent structures.

The fire was first reported just before 5 a.m. Thursday.

The Bartlesville Fire Department and several rural volunteer fire departments assisted the Nowata Fire Department in putting it out.

There were no reports of any injuries. Firefighters have not said what may have caused the fire.

Police officers and deputies closed streets around the business as firefighters dealt with the emergency.
