OKLAHOMA CITY -

They steal in groups of three, with at least five suspects wanted. One female along with two others have stolen items from Citi Trends and Burlington Coat Factory. Once they used pepper spray and another time they tried to run over a store employee.

"It's escalating and we want to make sure we get them in custody," said Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow.

The crimes are escalating to a point where the thieves felt they needed to use pepper spray and use their own vehicle as a weapon.

According to the police report, on Nov. 18 the suspects were leaving Citi Trends on S. Shields Blvd., when suspecting employees approached the three subjects. All of a sudden one suspect sprayed pepper spray into the faces of the employees and into the air.

All of the suspects then fled the store, possibly with stolen items. Almost a month later, on Dec. 13 the female and two others returned to the same Citi Trends store.

"[They are coming in] different groups, but obviously we want to get them all identified," said Wardlow.

This time the Police report states three suspects, one black female and two black males, all between the ages of 21-24, ran out of the store with three stolen items totaling $1,200.

One employee followed, and while attempting to flee in their vehicle the suspects swerved at the employee, as if the suspect was trying to hit him.

"Fortunately the employee wasn't hurt. They were able to get away from the car. Obviously these are dangerous people," said Wardlow.

The employee was still able to get the license plate number. The vehicle is a 1996 white Oldsmobile with the plate number 467-FFG. If you know anything you are encouraged to call crime stoppers at (405)235-7400.
