TULSA, Oklahoma -

Door buster deals and red tag specials have shoppers flooding stores Thursday.

The day after Christmas promotions are the last chance for retailers to cash in on the holiday shopping season.

The stores we spoke with won't have hard numbers until the end of the season, but representatives for Woodland Hills mall say the early numbers are positive.

Waiting in line in November, or until the last minute in December, may have filled the shopping quota for some this year. But for others, the deals on the day following Christmas are simply too good to pass up.

Carolyn Sheffler and her family are braved the crowds at Woodland Hills and are already shopping for the next holiday season.

"I think a lot of the Christmas decor will be on sale, and that's what I'm looking for, mainly," Sheffler said.

The deals starting on December 26 are the exclamation point of the $602 billion holiday shopping season.

Macy's is running buy one, get one deals on shirts and suits. Sears is offering 40 percent off for shoppers who use their Sears card to purchase appliances over $499. Brookstone is offering buy one, get one half-off. The deals go on and on.

"It seems like, this year, we just definitely have some additional promotions that we haven't had in the past," said Best Buy manager Courtney Thune.

Thune said Best Buy's yellow tag promotion is the first time shoppers can receive a $15 gift card for spending over $100.

It's also offering up to 50 percent off clearance and open box items.

The National Retail Federation expects a 4 percent increase over last year's holiday sales. But Thune said this year doesn't feel much different from last year.

"They're always both really busy, and you kind of forget, you know, from last year. You're just kind of making it through to the next year," Thune said.

Thune said the other big draw is shoppers who are exchanging items, which is what Lynee Spivak was doing when we caught up with her.

"Because it's the wrong size, because it's a 10-inch photo frame and not a 12-inch," Spivak said.

Spivak said, even with the deals on the day following Christmas, she wasn't afraid of the holiday crowds.

"It wasn't crazy the weekend before Christmas, so I didn't think it would be that crazy now," she said.

To help thin out the crowds and make room for more business, retail stores and malls are opening their doors early through the end of the shopping season.

And if you've had enough of the crowded stores, there's always online. You can find deals there, too. Amazon is offering up to 70 percent off certain items through the end of the year.
