Friday morning, 160 members of Edmond Santa Fe High School's Marching Band and Orchestra are jumping on buses, and are heading over "the pond."

The group will perform at next week's 28th Annual London New Year's Day Parade and Festival. This is the fifth-time since 1998 the school has performed in the London Celebration. They've been raising money for the trip for months.

The parade is broadcasted "Live" all across Europe, and will reach an audience of more than 60 million people.

Alicia Aguilar is a senior drum major who plans to study chemical engineering at Oklahoma State next Fall.

"It's going to be so exciting represent Edmond Santa Fe and Oklahoma and just America in general," she said.

Band Director Mike Lowery says the group will stay for eight days, and will have plenty of time to check out the sights.

"We have two days of specific touring," he said.
