Area businesses and event planners are gearing up for New Year's Eve celebrations to close out 2013.

Downtown Tulsa will be a hot spot for a lot of the New Year's Eve festivities, but it's not just Tulsa that's ringing in 2014 in style.

If you didn't make the voyage to Times Square in New York City to see the ball drop this year, there are tons of places left to celebrate New Year's Eve in Green Country.

"We're excited to have our hotel full and it's great for us since we are a not-for-profit, all the proceeds go to support a historic national landmark," Lori Esser of the Price Tower said about Olive Drop 2014.

For its 10th year, Bartlesville's Price Tower is dropping a gigantic olive instead of the traditional crystal ball at the stroke of midnight.

"There's no other place you can go and see an olive being dropped 15 stories down a Frank Lloyd Wright Skyscraper," she said.

Tickets are still available at the Price Tower for a fun night of dancing and cork-popping.

And some people are spending their New Year's Eve in the Brady Arts District.

Erin Tyler and her husband are in town from Oklahoma City.

"We're going out with two other friends that are joining us," Tyler said.

They're catching a Stoney LaRue concert Tuesday night.

"Usually we don't do anything and we saw he was playing at Cain's," she said. "I've never been there."

Tyler and her New Year's Eve crew plan to grab a bite to eat in the Blue Dome District before the concert.

You can even ring in 2014 in disguise.

The IDL Ballroom will be bumping with local DJs during the Crystal Ball: A New Year's Eve Masquerade.

Event organizers at the IDL Ballroom said there are only about a hundred tickets left.

On the other side of the railroad tracks, the Brady Theater will also be flowing with music.

"Hopefully it's a new tradition," Tyler said.
