Ever celebrate a "Happy Noon Year?" In the Discovery Lab at the Tulsa Children's Museum, that had the first ever Happy Noon Year party.

There was the noisiest noise maker and a crazy hat contest at a party kids could bring their parents to - rather than the other way around.

"It's a great time for people to spend time with their kids, at an appropriate hour, and then they still get to have their adult time later," said Anne Galbraith, Tulsa Children's Museum.

The youngest kids were just building stuff while some of the others were working on hats or noise makers. Just in time for that crazy hat contest.

"We have three kids all under 7 so we are here a lot," said dad Brian Paschal.

DJ Joe Merenda wrangled the noise maker contestants and some how whittled them down to the loudest. They even had a countdown to the noon year - how cool is that?

If your New Year's party was better than that, I wanna see the pictures.

Next year, they'll have to figure a way to make the party bigger so they won't have to turn away anyone.
