An Oklahoma City toddler abducted on New Year's Eve is found safe.

Oklahoma City Police said the child was left sitting in a car that was running outside of a home near NW 10th and Macarthur. The suspect, Aimee Webb, took that car and ended up parking in the yard of Beverly Willard's home near NW 23rd and Penn.

"I told her there is an Amber Alert out for you," said Willard.

Willard didn't know the woman she was shocked to see sitting in the car, but from the Amber Alert, she recognized the child in the back seat. So she decided to take action to help rescue 3-year-old Bailey Shreeves.

"When I told her to get her bleep in the house and take the baby, she knew I wasn't playing," said Willard.

Willard said the suspect was scared when she confronted her. She and her friends distracted Webb until police arrived.

Officers arrested Webb at the scene. Lt. Jimmy Thomas said Webb took off in the car around 11 p.m. the night before and at some point hit a curb that caused her to blow out a couple of tires.

Police believe that's why she parked the car overnight. Thomas said they believe drugs were a factor in both the child being left in a running car and the eventual abduction.

"We think drugs may have had something to do with [Webb] being where she was when she got in the car," Thomas said.

The car was impounded and the child was placed in protective custody. The child's mother was reportedly at work at the time of the abduction and had left her boyfriend responsible for the child. The boyfriend could face criminal charges.

Webb was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on a complaint of kidnapping and child endangerment.
