Metro Gyms Packed With Newly Resolute Oklahomans

A recent University study says 45 percent of Americans make New Year's Eve resolutions, but only eight percent see them through.  Still hundreds of folks have signed up for new memberships at the new Planet Fitness in the past two weeks.

Planet Fitness is offering membership deals for 10 dollars a month. Kelli Bolton says she and her husband joined on Tuesday, and are trying to be good role models for their two young children.  

"Just getting started, I'm wanting to get with a personal trainer because I really don't know what I'm doing." 

Planet Fitness General Manager Austen Hanten recommends that new members start out slowly.

"You go 100-miles an hour and the next day you don't feel so good," he said. "It makes it hard to come back again and again."
