An explosion at a plant near Sweetwater, Oklahoma, woke some Beckham County residents early Sunday morning.
Investigators believe freezing temperatures contributed to the explosion at a manufacturing plant east of Sweetwater.
The Beckham County Sheriff's office reports that a valve froze shut, causing pressure to build in a tank at the plant. That tank exploded, sending debris flying into nearby electrical wires, which ignited a fire.
Firefighters were quick to contain the flames. More than two feet of oil spilled out in the explosion. Crews are waiting for that oil to burn away.
No one was injured. Sweetwater firefighters, along with Beckham County and Roger Mills County deputies, responded to the explosion.
The name of the plant and what it manufactures wasn't immediately released.
