A year of community fundraising paid off big for Tulsa's art community.
Tulsa's Young Professional wrapped up the fifth year of its community partner program by handing over a check for more than $12,000 to its 2013 partner, the Arts and Humanities Council of Tulsa.
TYPros raised the money at dozens of events it held throughout the year.
Hillary Parkhurst, with TYPros, said, "The arts are so important to our city and to our younger generations, so it was great to be able to partner with them on different volunteer opportunities."
TYPros named the Tulsa Zoo its Community Partner for 2014.
Over the past five years, the group has raised more than $78,000 for Tulsa-area non-profits.
