Police Find Explosive Device At OKC Apartment Complex

Police confirmed they have found an explosive device inside a car at an Oklahoma City apartment complex.

Officers were first called out to respond to a possible stalking call at The Cottages at Hefner Road, located at 1209 W. Hefner Road. 

When they arrived, they searched a car at that location and found an explosive device.

Authorities are taking the device to a location to dispose of it.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area. Authorities have shut down Hefner in both directions between Western and Penn., as crews investigate the suspicious device.

The apartment complex has also been partially evacuated.
