TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsa firefighters are training for disaster. Over the next two weeks, they're tackling collapse training; from buildings to trenches.

They're using debris from old projects to create tunnels, crawl spaces, anything to help simulate a disaster.

And they practice with special cameras, listening devices, and search dogs.

Captain Stan May of the Tulsa Fire Department said, "Training that we do every day but we're bringing it all together for a two-week period of time to make sure that everybody is operating on the same page, everybody understands what everybody else's job is so we don't get any of our people hurt and that we do as much good as we can."

The 80-hour course mirrors the training Oklahoma City rescuers get, so the two groups can work together in a crisis.

The training is paid for with federal grant money.
