The FCC, after determining it to be safe, is trying to decide whether to allow passengers to make cell phone calls in mid-flight. I say it should be left to the airlines, and the ones that want my travel money won't allow it. Lots of you sounding off on this.
Cheri says: "Better my seatmate yack to his own friends than to me!!"
Brandy writes: "NO! Loud airplane equals grumpy people. That will be a complete disaster."
Dan suggests: "Allow it in business class and let them pay the higher price if they need to talk on their phone during the flight."
But most of you, like Tiara, said absolutely no cell phone calls: "If the fasten seat belt sign dinged the flight attendants would need bull horns to get everyone's attention. I vote no."
Carla writes: "Jerks are jerks and they fly. We don't need them having the power to talk endlessly thru the flights."
Buffy said: "I am already offended by the weird smells coming from that many people and the guy next to me that his big arms are invading my space."
Buffy, might I suggest the train.
From Kelcy: "Allow something that will make it MORE annoying to travel in close quarters with strangers. Fantastic idea."
Lisa says: "Texting cool, talking not."
Finally from Jill: "Yes, as long as the person talking on the phone wears a plastic bag over there head during the entire conversation."
