Police arrested a Tulsa woman after her twin infant boys were found to have skull fractures. Authorities say Clorinda "Chloe" Archuleta waited several days to seek medical care for her children and then only took one of the babies to the hospital.

Corporal Greg Smith with Tulsa Police Child Crisis, said, "It's obvious that someone should have picked up on this earlier and through that delay is why she is charged right now."

Her 24-year-old boyfriend Joshua Wray, the babies' father, is also in custody in connection to the injuries.

Officers say Archuleta brought her 34-day-old baby to St. Francis Hospital Thursday evening. The 24-year-old woman reportedly told doctors that the baby had a swollen right leg that her mother brought to her attention on Monday, January 13.

Doctors found the baby boy had a fractured arm, two broken legs and a skull fracture with brain bleeding, according to the arrest report.

"When the severity of the infant's injuries were discovered, officers responded to take the twin brother into custody," the arresting officer said. "The second infant received a CT scan that revealed multiple skull fractures as well."

Archuleta at first told police she had "no idea" how her babies were injured, then said she had seen her boyfriend grab one of the boys by the leg and hold him in the air, the report states.

"When asked to describe the baby's demeanor she said he 'might have' lost consciousness and his eyes rolled back in his head," the officer said.

"The defendant continued to allow her boyfriend to care for the babies after witnessing this abuse."

Joshua Wray was booked into Tulsa County Jail late Friday morning. He told police "he was under a lot of stress and did not know what had caused the infants' injuries," the arrest report states.  He said he had seen Archuleta "shake" one of the babies but did not seek medical treatment for the child.

"The defendant also stated that he may have caused some of the injuries, but it was an accident," the arresting officer said.

Chloe Archuleta was booked early Friday on two felony counts of child neglect and some outstanding misdemeanor traffic warrants.

Wray was booked on felony child neglect after former conviction of a felony. He has past convictions for attempting to obtain a controlled drug by forged or altered prescription and uttering a forged instrument, according to court records.
