BERRYHILL, Oklahoma -

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office confirmed an elderly man died in a Berryhill house fire Thursday morning.

We spoke to a family member, who said her father, 84-year-old Paul Haws, was the victim of the blaze in the 3100 block of South 57th West Avenue.

She told us she took care of her father, but she left the home to run an errand, then got a call that "the house blew up."

TCSO said the initial report was an explosion, but firefighters can't confirm it was an explosion.

Firefighters said oxygen tanks possibly were inside.

Fire crews are putting out hotspots so they don't continue to flare.

Family members remain at the scene and are devastated at the death of their loved one.
