Tulsa Eagle Days Event Focuses On Raptors

From the shores of the Arkansas River to the skies over the Jenks Planetarium, south Tulsa County was all about eagles this weekend.

The annual Tulsa Eagle Days took place this weekend in south Tulsa and Jenks. Bird watchers went to the Arkansas River banks in the early hours of Saturday and Sunday to watch the Bald Eagle nests and learn more about the birds of prey.

Sutton Avian Research Center experts made presentation with live raptors at the Jenks High School Math and Science Center.

The Grey Snow Eagle House and the Tulsa Zoo sent representatives to help educate the public as well.

"Birds in the Heavens, a special star gazing experience that took a look at some of the many constellations "starring" birds, took place in the Jenks High School planetarium.
