TULSA, Oklahoma -

Grass fires continue to threaten Oklahoma during dry winter conditions.

In Washington County, a fire was reported southeast of Bartlesville near County Road 2300 and County Road 4010. According to Osage SkyNews 6 pilot Will Kavanaugh, nearby structures were not in danger. Crews were busy putting out hot spots about 3 p.m.

In Tulsa County, our Osage Casino SkyCam Network captured two separate areas as they burned along the Broken Arrow Expressway between the 41st Street Bridge and U.S. Highway 169. The Tulsa Fire Department said a cause has not been determined.

Liberty, Mounds and Kiefer firefighters worked on a house fire. Reports say the fire appears to have started in the laundry room. The dryer was pulled from the room and was smoking in the back yard.

Officials said it's unknown if that started the fire. Residents of the home were able to exit the house safely.

Our sister station, News9 in Oklahoma City, covered fires in Cushing and Shawnee on Wednesday afternoon.

The fire danger was elevated for Wednesday and will be near the "high" category on Thursday.

"Dry conditions combined with low humidity and gusty wind (15 to 30 mph) will promote rapid fire growth," according to meteorologist Alan Crone.

There is a burn ban in place for 23 Oklahoma counties.
