Newcastle Neighborhood Targeted In Crime Spree

A Newcastle man hopes security cameras mounted on his house help police nab thieves who he says took thousands of dollars of equipment from his work truck two weeks ago. 

"Danny" showed us surveillance video of a man breaking into his truck, which was parked outside his house in the Briarwood Neighborhood in the early morning hours of Jan. 11.   

Danny says the video also shows the bad guy breaking into his wife's Chevy Escalade. Danny says there were several other victims as well.

"The police shared with my wife that there was other additions besides ours. There was kind of a rampage that night."  

Newcastle Police won't say how many people were burglarized, but they say they are investigating.
